We are officially topped off in our canal level inside the South Gulf Cove lock. Assuming we have a typical 2016 rainy season, expect the canal levels to hover at the deepest they can get until rainy season ends sometime in the fall. The last few years have been great for canal levels. As always, contact the office for canal level questions before you plan your trip to the yard. We monitor the canal levels frequently during the Spring season. Remember that these canal levels only affect drafts of 5 feet or more. The water depth in the channel leading to the lock is tidal. Our general rule of thumb is a 5 foot draft should approach the lock at a 1 foot tide. Safe travels!
